Attractive lustrous green mostly gemmy crystals of fluorite to 3.0 cm on edge aesthetically covering both sides of this matrix. Brightly fluorescent, this is in very good condition with just slight tiny and minimal micro-damage present.

Mandrosonoro is a rural commune situated within the Ambatofinandrahana District of the Amoron'i Mania region in the central highlands of Madagascar, an area historically recognized by artisanal miners and prospectors for its complex Precambrian metamorphic geology, rare-element granitic pegmatites, and diverse hydrothermal mineral occurrences. While the broader district gained international fame for rare gemstone discoveries in the early 2000s, the specific Mandrosonoro locality emerged on the mineral market more recently for producing distinctive green fluorite specimens. These fluorites typically form well-developed, translucent to opaque cubic crystal clusters often associated with pale quartz-rich matrices. Their vibrant green coloration and internal zoning are driven by hydrothermal deposition within regional fractures and cavities, influenced by trace rare-earth elements and natural radiation over geological time. Notably, these specimens are prized by collectors for exhibiting a strong blue to purple fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light, alongside occasional subtle daylight reactions.
