Imilchil is a historic market town located in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. Geologically, the area is characterized by Mesozoic basinal sedimentation and Tertiary tectonic compression along the African-Eurasian collision front, featuring extensive carbonate strata and complex fold-belt formations that host notable lead, zinc, and vanadium mineralizations.
