The Two Point Claim (frequently associated with small pegmatite and topaz workings like the nearby Last Hope Mine in the Mwami mica field of Karoi, Zimbabwe) operated intermittently from the mid-20th century, primarily yielding rare mineral specimens before becoming inactive. Geologically, the region is characterized by complex Precambrian pegmatites intruded into metamorphic rocks, providing the hydrothermal and pneumatolytic conditions necessary to form rare beryllium-bearing minerals. Within this setting, euclase forms as a scarce beryllium aluminum silicate hydroxide crystal, celebrated in this district for its exceptionally rich, deep royal blue coloration and distinct hour-glass optical zoning.
