Enargite with Quartz, Pyrite
specimen number:
3333343
location:
Leonard mine, Butte, Montana, USA
description:
Bright lustrous metallic crystals of enargite measuring to 0.7 cm in size across a crystallized quartz and pyrite matrix. Slight micro-chipping present as seen in the picture and video, still in good condition for this old classic. A painted number on the bottom of the specimen tells me that it was once part of a collection at the University of Michigan, a collection that I dispersed back in the early 1990s.
