location:
Barra de Salinas, Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil
description: This locality in Brazil is noted for its neat sceptered tourmaline specimens. This current example is outstanding, consisting of a very thick yet still gemmy sceptered crystal. The lower part of the crystal is a purplish red, the upper part gem green. Minor lepidolite present as well. This measures 6.5 x 3.0 x 2.5 cm in size. Complete all-around, the crystal is completely damage free and of outstanding quality. Much thicker than most of the sceptered tourmaline specimens that are seen available. Very neat example in addition to any gem crystal collection.
Size: 6.5 x 3.0 x 2.5 cm (small-cabinet)
