Cuprite with Copper
specimen number:
1821257
location:
Rubtsovskoe Mine, Rudnyi Altai, Altaiskii Krai, Russia
description: A truly superb combination piece for this now, I am told, exhausted locality. The specimen consists of a very attractive grouping of crystallized native copper 12.0 x 9.0 x 4.0 cm in size. At the top of this grouping is a lustrous deep red sharp octahedral cuprite crystal 4.0 cm across. This is an outstanding condition. When viewed closely the cuprite shows translucency and a deep red color near its edges. Comes with a custom made acrylic display base.
Size: 12.0 x 9.0 x 4.0 cm (cabinet)
