Classic pseudomorph specimen from Michigan, a sharp crystal of almandine 3.0 cm across and replaced by deep green chamosite set on a schist matrix. This is in very good condition all around. Pre-1940, the specimen comes with an antique label. The previous label gives the species as chlorite, these have since been determined to be chamosite.
