Cerussite with Galena
specimen number:
1192166
location:
Bunker Hill mine, Shoshone Co., Idaho USA
description:
An unusual and very fine grouping for the species from this famous locality. These are large bladed crystals of cerussite measuring to 5.0 cm in size forming a cluster with little attached matrix. These are black in color due to inclusions of galena. Minor damage is present, though a lot of what at first appears to be damage is completely natural. Overall I think this in really good condition.
