An outstanding example of what is known as "needle tin" with lustrous black prismatic terminated crystals of cassiterite measuring to 0.5 cm in length covering the top of a 6.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm matrix. In excellent condition for one of these, very richly crystallized. Shipping weight: 0.37 pounds. Previous label from noted New York dealer Hugh A. Ford. This label notes that the specimen had previously been a part of the Calvert collection. Ex Ed Raines collection.
