Very choice large cabinet example from this old and important iron mine in Southeast Missouri. Yellowish prismatic crystals of calcite to 0.5 cm in size are quite richly scattered throughout this 14.0 x 14.0 x 5.0 cm hematite rich matrix. Minimal micro-chipping present, overall I think in very good condition. Shipping weight: 1.77 pounds. This locality closed maybe 40 years ago now. Ex Charles Noll collection.
