Calcite with Galena
specimen number:
4001017
location:
Joplin field, Tri-State district, Jasper Co., Missouri, USA
description: Outstanding old time combination piece with a light pink lustrous scalenohedral crystals of calcite 7.0 cm in length perched beautifully on the edge of a grouping of lustrous cubic galena crystals. The calcite crystals have numerous micro inclusions of chalcopyrite floating within. Very minimal micro-chipping present, I think considering the age of this piece is in really good condition.
Size: 12.0 x 8.0 x 6.0 cm (cabinet)
