Calcite with Chalcopyrite
specimen number:
4901099
location:
Sweetwater mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description:
A golden yellow lustrous gemmy calcite crystal 7.0 cm in height coming off a breccia matrix with minor galena. The large prominent crystal is in very good condition as seen. The smaller crystal grouping at lower right shows some cleaving as shown up close in the video, though most of those faces are natural. Very nice piece from the 1970s. Previous label notes that the specimen was acquired through noted dealer in those days Ron Sohn.
