Calcite with Barite, Sphalerite
specimen number:
4971276
location:
Elmwood mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
description:
Wonderful combination specimen from this famous locality. A double terminated glassy gemmy scalenohedral calcite crystal measuring 5.0 cm in size is set perfectly on top of a mound of crystallized lustrous black sphalerite with a ball of white crystallized barite. Very tiny minor cleaving on the backside of the calcite crystal termination is shown in the video up close, this still very nice.
