specimen number:
4241090
location:
Sweetwater mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description:
A yellow lustrous translucent twinned scalenohedral crystal of calcite with minor breccia matrix. The bottom termination is cleaved as seen. While twinning in calcite from this locality cannot be said to be exceptionally rare, it certainly is not as common as seen in other calcite crystals from different Mississippi Valley type deposits.
