Excellent lustrous pink crystallized calcite across the top of this hematite matrix. This is in super condition. A wonderful display quality large example from this old and famous locality. The specimen comes with several previous collection labels. The specimen was figured in the magazine the mineralogical record in January, February, 2020, page 98, figure 31. The specimen was displayed at the Tucson show 2017, the East Coast show 2018, and the Denver show, 2023. At one time part of the collection of Chuck Noll. The specimen comes with a custom acrylic display base. Brightly fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light.
