Barite
specimen number:
4191064
location:
Book Cliffs, Grand Junction, Mesa Co., Colorado, USA
description:
I think this one is a superb example for this noted Colorado locality with a crystal grouping of glassy gem colorless barite crystals 7.0 cm in height coming off a septarian matrix. The best I can tell, there are no repairs making this even more exceptional as a matrix specimen. There is very slight micro-chipping present on one corner of the barite crystal grouping.
Size: 10.0 x 9.0 x 8.0 cm (cabinet)
