Azurite with Malachite
specimen number:
3561002
location:
Bisbee, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
description: Deep blue sparkling crystallized azurite covering a previous green stalactitic slight malachite matrix. Stalactites are not complete, this makes the piece interesting showing the interior hollow nature of the malachite stalactite. I still think in great condition. Previous label from the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, ex Maynard Bixby collection.
Size: 17.5 x 12.0 x 4.5 cm (large-cabinet)
