specimen number:
9195081

location:
4750 bench, NE Extension, Morenci mine, Greenlee Co., Arizona, USA

description:
A superb example for the species from this famous Arizona locality. A large thick blocky lustrous deep blue crystal of azurite 2.5 cm in size set on matrix with malachite. Good large sharp crystals of the species were never terribly common from this famous locality. This one is excellent. Previous label from the Dick Morris collection, this notes that the specimen was collected by Stan Esbenshade in November, 1992.
