Azurite

specimen number:
3291022

location:
Morenci mine, Greenlee Co., Arizona, USA

description:

Gorgeous blue crystallized azurite across the top of this matrix. This shows two different generations of azurite crystallization, the first very dark blue in color in the second a much lighter blue. There is slight rubbing present, still I think in very good condition. Neat late 19th century specimen. See: https://mineralogicalrecord.com/labels.asp?colid=1927 for more information on Mr. Wakeley.
