The Stavoren Mine, situated in the Sekhukhune district of Limpopo, South Africa, was active primarily as a small-scale polymetallic and tin-mining center that began operations during the early twentieth century (circa 1910s) and closed down as commercial viability declined mid-century. Geologically, the deposit is located within the Mutue Fides-Stavoren tin field of the Lebowa Granite Suite, part of the Bushveld Igneous Complex. Its mineralization is characterized by pipe-like bodies, fractures, and pockets hosted in altered granites and the local Stavoren granophyre sheet, featuring a complex assemblage of tin, tungsten, molybdenum, fluorite, and base-metal sulfides driven by ancient magmatic-hydrothermal systems.
