The front side of this matrix is richly scattered with lustrous deep red crystals of rhodochrosite averaging 0.2 cm in size. Very minimal micro-damage present, this large piece is in very good condition. It is not often that one sees such a large examples that are well crystallized from this old classic locality for the species.
