Fluorite
specimen number:
2631509
location:
Heights Quarry, Weardale, Co. Durham, England, UK
description:
Excellent classic British fluorite specimen with green glassy gemmy twinned crystals of fluorite and groupings to almost 1.5 cm in size over the front of this 6.5 x 5.0 x 4.0 cm matrix. Displays beautifully on its own with very minimal and sparse micro-chipping present, I think in very good condition. Good matrix examples of this attractive green fluorite from this old locality are not often seen available today. Ex Bruce and Dale Wadleigh collection. This specimen is figured in the supplement to The Mineralogical Record, Mineral Collections in the American Northeast, on page 398. Shipping weight: 0.33 pounds.
Size: 6.5 x 5.0 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
